50 people were infected with Covid-19 on the France carrier

50 crew members on the only French carrier, Charles de Gaulle, were found to be positive for the new strain of corona virus.

Ministry of Armed Forces of France information on 10/4. Parts of the ship were sealed after the incident.

According to Reuters, the ministry said three sailors were flown by plane to a military hospital in Toulon, southern France, where the ship was built, on 9 April.

A group of medical personnel was equipped to board a test vessel for sailors on April 8 after the Armed Forces Ministry announced that 40 people had similar symptoms of the corona virus.

“The results of 66 tests have shown that 50 people were infected with Covid-19 aboard the Charles de Gaulle. Currently the status of the sailors has not changed badly, ”the ministry said.

The ship was equipped with its own intensive care facilities with 1,760 personnel.

The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, recently took part in a military exercise with the Nordic navy in the Baltic Sea and is en route to Toulon, where it will dock next day.

“While waiting for the aircraft carrier to dock at Toulon. Additional measures to protect the crew and to prevent the spread of the virus have been taken, ”the ministry said, adding that all waterways are wearing masks.

Last week, the commander of the US aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt was dismissed after his rescue letter to his superiors calling for protection of his crew from the leaked corona virus.
