Koreatown in Los Angeles is on high alert after a 25-year-old flight attendant was tested positive for Coronavirus.
A post on an online forum for Korean Americans on February 26 said the flight attendant had visited four or five famous restaurants in the Koreatown center.
She was likely exposed to hundreds of people because people often line up at restaurants during rush hour.
According to Chosun Ilbo, locals are afraid that anti-Korean sentiment may develop if she infects others in the area and disrupts business there.
The Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed that the flight attendants were on the same plane with 30 pilgrims coming to Israel and tested positive for corona virus afterwards. Their plane left Tel Aviv on February 15 and arrived in Korea the next day.
Then she was assigned a flight to Los Angeles and returned to Korea on February 22. The next day, she was examined at a medical center in Songpa, Seoul.
