Poland tests cabinet for a minister positive for Covid-19

Polish ministers attending the most recent cabinet meeting had to conduct a Coronavirus (Covid-19) test after the environment minister turned positive on March 16.

Chief of Staff Polish Prime Minister Michal Dworczyk said on March 9 that the ministers were absent during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Health Minister Lukasz Szumowski.

“The results will be announced today. They are all still in quarantine, ”Mr. Dworczyk said on a public radio in the morning. The last government meeting was held on March 10, according to the Polish government website.

Polish Environment Minister Michal Wos said yesterday he was quarantined after being diagnosed with a new strain of corona virus. He said that he felt fine.

“After talking to a ranger who was found infected with corona virus yesterday, I was isolated and sampled,” Wos, 29, wrote on Twitter. “The test result is positive. I feel good ”.

So far, world politicians infected with Covid-19 have been French Culture Minister Franck Riester, Spanish Equity Minister Irene Montero and Iranian Vice President Massoumeh Ebtekar and others.

The Central European nation of the EU with 38 million people has so far had 177 cases of Covid-19 and 4 deaths. The country has closed its borders with foreign tourists, schools and a number of other measures.

Earlier, Russia ordered the closure of the land border with Poland and Norway from March 15 because of Covid-19.
