Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said he was positive for the virus, and would quarantine himself. He is the highest certified Russian official to be infected.

Mishustin confirmed the test results in an online meeting with President Vladimir Putin on April 30, and nominated his deputy as acting prime minister.

“I just knew my test results were positive, so I had to follow the self-isolation rule to ensure the safety of my associates,” Russia 24 television channel quoted Mr. Mishustin.
