Russia recorded an additional 5,841 cases of corona virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s total number of cases to nearly 100,000, the 8th highest in the world.

According to RIA Novosti, in the past 24 hours, Russia recorded a record number of 108 deaths, bringing the country’s total number of deaths to 972. This is a much lower death rate than the United States, Italy and France. , Spain and England.

In total, 99,399 people were positive for Covid-19 in Russia, an increase of 6.2% in the past day.

Nearly 45% of new infections have no symptoms. Most new cases were recorded in the capital, Moscow, with 2,220 cases.

Russia, the largest country in the world, was frozen at the behest of President Vladimir Putin in late March. Despite this, Russia has surpassed China and Iran in the number of cases.
