According to the AP, US President Donald Trump has asked the government to reduce the number of Covid-19 tests because the US has recorded a high number of new cases.

Before the “overproductive” Covid-19 test resulted in a sharp increase in the number of cases, on June 20, US President Donald Trump asked the government to reduce the Covid-19 testing.

Earlier, according to the AP, US President Donald Trump told supporters of his campaign strategy that the US had Covid-19 tests for 25 million people, many times more than other countries. However, this large-scale testing has caused a rapid increase in the data on new Covid-19 cases.

Although health experts have raised concerns that the disease will continue to spread sharply. But Mr. Trump still decided to hold a campaign in Tulsa, Oklahoma. AP said that most of the people attending the ceremony did not agree with the mask, despite warnings from the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as US officials.

According to estimates by Johns Hopkins University (USA), the Covid-19 pandemic has claimed the lives of about 120,000 Americans and nearly half a million people worldwide. However, the actual number could be higher than that.

The number of daily new cases in the US has increased from about 21,400 to 23,200 in just two weeks, according to the latest AP data. Particularly in states that have relaxed social spasms such as Floria, Georgia, Texas and Arizona, the number of virus deaths has been increasing day by day since the beginning of June.

The reason for the sharp increase in the number of cases in the US in recent days is partly due to the increased testing capabilities of US health facilities. In addition, the number of non-serious cases without clear symptoms is increasing, due to the lack of prior testing.
